HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT COMMON IPTV PROBLEMS

While IPTV streaming is vast, it is very practical to have all content in one place. Once in a while, you may come across some technical issues. This troubleshooting guide will provide the necessary information for self-help.

The following are some of the most common issues people face with IPTV:

  • Buffering
  • Freezing
  • Too many loading screens
  • Looping issues

Here are some tips to troubleshoot common IPTV problems. You can then improve, if not solve, you’re buffering problems.

Why does IPTV freeze on occasion?

Your IPTV may freeze or loop due to the connection to a server at the other end. Perhaps your server is currently experiencing a spike in traffic or loads.

Attempt to play something and check to see if loops or freezes are still happening. You can also check for loops or freezes on any device. Simply log on to the internet and surf. Check to see if the system is responding as you expected.

If the load times are not long while surfing the internet and the freezes only occur on the IPTV, then it is most likely a virus. Server-side Issue. Reach out to your IPTV provider for support.

Although it may seem like you are powerless to change the situation, there are some things you can do.

Troubleshooting common IPTV issues like IPTV Loops or Freezes

1. Change the speed of your connection from 2.4 GHz up to 5.0 GHz

To improve IPTV loops and freezes, you can check if your device has been set to 2.4GHz. If it is, try changing the Wi-Fi signal setting to 5.0 GHz. This may increase the signal strength. Most IPTV services are now better at 5.0GHz. Depending on the service provider and set-top box, loading times could be reduced.

2.  When there are long loads or freezes, use wired over wireless connections

A second tip is to consider a wired Ethernet connection Instead of a wireless antenna, although most set-top boxes have an internal or external antennae they may not provide the best connection. This is especially true if the router is distant from the box.

It is better to have a wired internet connection if possible. This will ensure a stable connection with fewer drops and loads as well as fewer loops, freezes, and freezes.

3. Check for Concurrent Downloads

If your router is currently downloading anything from any computers, gaming consoles or other devices, these processes can be paused or stopped. They could be slowing down your IPTV stream and hogging the internet. You may use a Wi-Fi blocker  To make router filtering even easier.

This is the next tip, but it’s more of a last resort. You may consider completely disconnecting devices from your wireless network. These devices could be running background processes that are using your internet in subtler ways.

4. To bypass ISP throttle, use a VPN

If your personal network connections are perfect and your IPTV provider has no problems with their servers, your internet service provider may be the problem.

ISPs are occasionally throttling their clients’ connections. This results in lower connection speeds and less stability during peak traffic hours. A VPN solution is a great workaround solution.
